Troy and Wayne Cornwill have spent more than 30 years building their trucking business from the ground up, starting with a single restored Aerodyne in the early 1990s. Their latest project, a custom Kenworth Legend SAR nicknamed “Dynamite” after the fast trucks of the 1980s, was built mostly in-house between the two brothers, who meticulously crafted every detail to capture the authentic look of a classic 80s Kenworth while running modern reliability and performance underneath.

The interior carries the theme through with custom painted flooring, traditional door panels, and even a mechanical accelerator pedal to complete the vintage feel. For Troy, the build is also personal — a reflection on their father’s work ethic and decades of family sacrifice finally paying off in a truck that’s built to be driven and enjoyed, not just shown. It’s a story about family, hard work, and keeping the spirit of classic trucking alive.
What stands out about this Kenworth Legend SAR build is that none of it was outsourced. Troy and Wayne did the panel work, the paint and the trim themselves, on top of running a working trucking business. It’s the kind of project that only gets finished by people who genuinely love the trucks they drive.
